Close By


Julington-Durbin Creek Preserve is one of the best nearby outdoor options. It has trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, with some trails totaling about 6.1 miles round-trip.

Tommy Hazouri Sr. Park / Mandarin Park is another calm outdoor choice with a walking trail, nature center, picnic tables, fishing pier, playground, tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard.

The Pavilion at Durbin Park is good for easy shopping, casual dining, coffee, movies, and errands. It includes stores and restaurants such as Ulta, Old Navy, Cinemark, Starbucks, Mellow Mushroom, Club Pilates, Home Depot, Walmart, Ross, and more.

K1 Speed Jacksonville is good if you want something fun indoors. They have electric go-karts, adult and junior races, lap timing, and an onsite lounge.


Worth the Drive


St. Johns Town Center is the best shopping/dining area if you want more of a full outing. It is an open-air center with more than 175 retailers and restaurants, including Apple, Sephora, The Capital Grille, Tiffany & Co., Banana Republic, PF Chang’s, and Louis Vuitton. A quick 17 min drive.

Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is a good classy daytime option. It has thousands of works of art and historic riverfront gardens, so this is nice if you want something more relaxed and pretty. 21 min drive.

Jacksonville Beach is better if you want beach time, the pier, water activities, or a more coastal restaurant vibe. Visit Florida notes surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and sunbathing as popular options there. 25 min drive.
